What constellation did the moon come over the horizon this evening ?

is this the same constellation as the southern hemisphere?

how about which constellation the sun rose in this morning?

please explain.

Thanks for your answers!|||it was just luck that it happened tonight because tomorrow it will not|||If you are in the southern hemisphere and you can see the moon, you see the same constellation behind it as someone in the northern hemisphere.

The constellations are the patterns we see in the random arrangement of stars dozens to hundreds of light years away. The difference in angle between the southern and northern hemisphere is not enough to change the constellation behind the moon.

Tonight (2/21), the moon rose in front of Sagittarius.

Tomorrow night, it will rise later (just before sunrise) still in Sagittarius.

Since the moon is rising just before the sun, the sun is also rising in Sagittarius.|||Orion is about to set in march to come Draco .
